“Counselling is an act of courage - it’s a bold step away from the familiar, into an unfamiliar space where hope lives.”

What to Expect

Counselling is relational. It’s a conversation between two people who are working towards the same goal - whatever goal that is that brings you to counselling.

Some women want improved self esteem, self confidence, and personal growth.

Others come to work on relationship issues, communication styles, and a better understanding of themselves.

Some women feel stuck. They feel like they want more, or something different, but they don’t know where to start to get unstuck.

While others want to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and loss.

Many come just because they need an outlet outside of their family or friends.

You don’t need to prepare anything special to come - just come. You will find a safe, non-judgmental place to unload and work through the challenges and pain points you’re carrying.

You will be asked questions - important questions you’ve never been asked before. And you will engage in a conversation focused on working through the challenges you’re facing in your life.

It’s ok to be nervous - that’s normal. You will find your nerves disappear quickly once the session starts.

About My Counselling Approach

It’s important to me that clients experience me as real, relatable, and trustworthy.

I don’t sit in a position of expert, because I’m not the expert on your life.

So I maintain curiosity, and believe that you have what it takes to make the changes you’re looking for.

I simply have the privilege of joining you on your journey - asking curious questions, helping you consider alternate perspectives, and holding therapeutic space for you as we work together towards your goals.

My faith is central in my life and I love to be able to bring Jesus into our work whenever possible.

If you do not consider yourself a person of faith, I enthusiastically welcome you into the space and look forward to working together in a way that is comfortable for you.

I believe you will find counselling to be a beautiful and liberating experience - and an important act of courage towards a more hope-filled life.

TESTIMONIALS

“Nicole was recommended by my Pastor to deal with my lack of boundaries and an eating disorder that I have struggled with since I was 13 years old. Right away Nicole put my mind at ease. She is warm and funny and she helped me remember who I was and who I am in Gods eyes. Remembering Who’s I am has been key to my healing, and I am so grateful God brought Nicole into my life.”
